International events

There are so many international events held in Taiwan. For example, in 2009, The World Games was held in Kaohsiung, a beautiful city in the south of Taiwan. You could watch 26 kinds of sports here and make friends with people from all over the world.

In the same year, Taipei also held 21st Summer Deaflympics. Though the players in these games have some defects with their aural comprehension, they still tried their best to play a perfect game and their stories also warmed people’s hearts.

We also join Shanghai Expo 2010 and our pavilion is called Mountain, Water& Lantern of the Heart. It shows many images of Taiwan and you can see many sides of Taiwan, including the nature, culture and people in Taiwan. And now you can still see the pavilion in Shanghai until 10.31.

In November, Taipei International Flora Exposition will be held. If you are interested at plants, you will see many different kinds of flowers or vegetables. Besides enjoying this event, learning how to protect the environment is also an important lesson.

The last one we want to introduce is 18th Annual iEARN Conference and 15th Annual Youth Summit. These two big events will be held in Kaohsiung. We hope that every member of iEARN can enjoy it.
