History

    Pingtung Girls' Senior High school is a school with a long history. The form of our uniform and building are very traditional. For example, when we are entering the gate of our school, we have to wear the skirt instead of wearing shorts. Taiwan has been ruled by Japanese, so there are some Japanese dormitory in our school. In addition, the goal of our school is helping every student go into universities. So there is a bronze statue of Confucius standing in our school.

Details

We go to school at 7 o'clock, from 07：20 to 07：40 is the time of Studies by oneself early. Then we started to clean up the environment of our school from 07：40 to 08：00AM, after that we started the flag-raising ceremony at this time, the principal and the drillmaster will report something important to us.

 Sometimes they will lash out to us when we don't behave well. Eight ten It's time for class, June Kuo is our homeroom teacher, and she teaches
  us English. She is a responsible teacher, she always remind us to listen to studio classroom to improve our English. She let us performs drama, such as the skit in studio classroom, the movie like the Green Gable and outside reading. We have such a great teacher' Chinese class will be special for you but common for us. All of us think Chinese is not an easy subject we study Confucius words and some poems. The literary language used in ancient China make us confusing. That's why we think it's not a piece of cake. Math is another important subject, too. We do many math questions every day. The teacher gives us a test each class, so we have to practice it again and again. We study the global climate, location, economic and so on in geography class. As to the History, some one think it is interesting but someone think it is boring. We used to study the history of Taiwan and China. Now we're studying the world history. We thought it's the complicated subject and hard to study well. In social study class we have to report news to our class and share our opinion to the teacher. We also have to study the law. Besides next mouth, all of us will go to the shooting gallery, we are all exciting about this, because it's our first time to take real gun, and had practicing how to used the gun and shooting on the military training. Our schedule for PE class has swimming class, table tennis, basket ball, volley ball and so on. We enjoy the class very much; Also our class really loves art and music class, we can relax by drawing and appreciating movies in class. The environment of the Earth is a class. The teacher is really humor, He always makes us laugh. By the way, we have heath class as well as the time for clubs. That's all for our subject in the group of society. We distribute to science and society when we are in grade 2. The subjects may be a little bit different from the group of science. But everyone in our school studies hard and has fun during studying, and participate the activity in our school. We are all proud of being a student of Ping-Tung Girl's High School.


  Introduction

   Our school is located in Pingtung Country, and it is a girls' school. Even though there is no life in coed schools, we have even more interesting life with girls. Most of students in PTGSH (our school) is energetic. We get along happily because we love each other. Our school still have a special feature about girls. Guess what? We all like screaming no matter we are in any activities. By the way, we all liketo take a stroll on campus and enjoy beautiful scenery, and talk to each other. Sometimes we spend time discussing schoolworks and chatting with teachers because they are all nice to us. And we have lots of extracurricular activities and interesting club activities, so we can benefit a lot from these routines and take a positive attitude toward them.

   Club

   There are about forty clubs in our school. Somebody dances, somebody sings songs just like a band, and somebody plays the ball games and so on. There are always about twenty-five or thirty students in each club. The clubs will have shows on the founding anniversaries of our school and the end of every semester. The activities of the clubs are very awesome! When you are in the achievement shows, you usually can see a lot of students yelling with happiness and excitation especially in a girls' high school. When you go to a high school, you should choose a club and join it!

 

  

         Location

Totally, there are 13 buildings in our school, Pingtung Girls' Senior High. Three of them consist of 52 common classrooms, and two are used as laboratories or audio-visual rooms. At times, we have a P.E. class. We should go to Student Center, a big space for us to exercise at, or the gym (a swimming pool and dancing room inside). Besides, Library and Health Center are also playing an important part in our school life. There is always a patient teacher or nurse over there.
